I could not
understand this until last night's spectacle. Yes, Marie Osmond fainted on live television as a live television audience laughed.
Apparently it is shadenfreude that keeps this show on top. And here I thought it was the sparkly costumes and d-list celebs.

Well, just for a brief moment in time, so did I, as I thought, like the rest of the audience did, that Marie had actually 'faked' her swoon, since she is so bent towards the dramatic! But as I watched Tom Bergeron's shocked face as he shouted "Go to a commercial"...I quickly stopped laughing & waited in distress as they showed commercial after commercial after commercial, & was truly relieved when they finally came back on with the news that she was fine! Whew!
